my comp has beomce quite laggy lately... anybody know a good and effective program that'll optimize my comp's performance? ny help will be greatly appreciated

you could try spybot to get rid of data miners that hog up resources

have that, also have ad-aware, also have norton 2004, also have avg also have zone alarm, also have tuneup utilities... its weird.. ever since i converted my drive from FAT32 to NTFS with partion magic, my pc's startup have been really slow...

norton and avg don't work well togeather.. it makes the system slow down.. atleast for me it did

you should format when you convert file systems, windows is really picky about things like that, although it could be norton and avg hogging something together

yeh.. i uninstalled avg.. and its a bit better now.. but startup is still kinda slow

Backup, format, and then protect yourself. Get a firewall right off the bat. Also, check my essential list and get the PageDefrag program.

Meh my start up is hell slow, when i start windows it takes like 5 - 7 mins to just load the login page Sad and i have no clue why.. I don't even have norton and avg Rolling Eyes
