Why won't that work on IE?

What type of element has the id "menu1"?

IE is bass ackwards about hover and doesn't like it being applied to anything other than links.

It might also work applied to a div tag, which could be placed inside the td.

Hm, nope actually works perfect on MOZILLA but--- on ie it get's messed this time (don't work) i guess IE doesn't allow bla:hover..

yea, internet explorer has that tendency to do things like that. the only thing, i can say is use javascript onmouseover's. it's crude but it works.
