Finally it is time to vote for Comp Sci's best desktop without the mods tho Sad The winner gets 50 bits and if its a big majority an extra 25.

Pfff, not one person even replaced there hole shell and put in a 100% new one. i am soooo disapointed....

not one person replaciing exploer with an linux like shell, so disapoted....

i think i will have to get my other pc booted up and take a screen shoot of a real moded desktop....but i am lazzy so meh.

i dont have myine MODED like i used to cuz it slows down my PEICE Of Sh!t comp... but hey... this Picture ROCKS in my opinion... otherwise...

i like Cervantes with the Dragon as their pic... cuz Dragons ROCK

Well, I voted for shorthair cause his is the best looking one, and it actually moves Very Happy other than Maverick's one, I like shorthair's the best.

the thing about a desktop is it should be pleasing on the eyes.. none of these flashy colours like I see on some of them. That's why I like mine: its completely a dark colour, and at the same time, it looks cool Smile

also.... i agree... and dark not flashy one works good...

mind you... i like the color blue.... and... so hence i like mine... other then that.... i had a dragon on my desktop, and i had the jungle theme for win 98 (cuz it was dark colors, maroon, browns..)

I didn't like the jungle theme that much.. The background was okay, but the sounds were just annoying! Guess you just had to not activate the sounds.

Anyways, how did dafoz get so many votes so fast?! Thinking

yea i disabled the sounds... and i changed the cursor to the green SC one....
but meh....acually i should add the green thing again.... doing it righte now...

yea... i think Cervantes or Shorthair should win... Dragon... or aniamted...

Ouch!

Its simple but has meaning. I love dragons and hate bright and busy desktops. This one just fit all the requirments perfectly.

I don't know about 'meaning' but I agree with everything else d_foz said. Desktops shouldn't have alot of contrast in them. Smooth blends through a small range of colours with maybe a little sharpness for focus work best in my opinion. And yes, dragons are great. Wink
