What am I listening to? I'm listening to all the Massey Compsci geeks "prepare" for the CCC. Which of course means, watching Happy Tree Friends, episodes of Gundam Seed... there was some Counter Strike going on earlier... oh yeah, I think there might be one or two people discussing past CCC questions, go figure . |

If I had a rocket launcher - Bruce Cockburn aah the octupus' garden. What's your favorite beatles song? Mine's probably: The Night Before This doesn't really count (I guess) but there's two great George Harrison songs called "When we was Fab" and "Bring on the Lucie (Freda People)" |
Author: | jonos [ Mon Mar 01, 2004 6:20 pm ] |

ive never heard that one, but my favourites: here comes the sun octopus gardens helter skelter we can work it out strawberry fields forever the long and winding road while my guitar gently weeps and so many more... |

why don't we do it in the road now thats a good song, and the beatles rock by the way. you can thank them for influencing a lot of today's modern artists. |

ooh jonos. of the ones you've listed I've heard... Here comes the sun (Good!) Octupus' Garden (meh) While my guitar gently weeps (meh) My favs: The Night Before Hard Day's Night Two of Us Yesterday Come Together Obladi, Oblada, Life goes on Here comes the sun Hide your love away Ticket to Ride Can't Buy me love She Loves you Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds (note the capitalized letters) Love me do We can work it out help! strawberry fields forever i want to hold your hand let it be -------- There are a lot of fun songs by the beatles such as When I'm Sixty-Four that are musically utter crap. Paul Mckartny was a genius song-writer, but sometimes he wrote crappy songs that get stuck in your head. |
Author: | jonos [ Mon Mar 01, 2004 8:48 pm ] |
Post subject: | |
that's part of his genius. mccartney wrote the pop songs that become popular and made the beatles really famous and everything and made them really mainstream (with a little help form lennon), while lennon wrote the cool songs like i am the walrus, strawberry fields forever, and the ones that make you think even if its not sane thinks. |

yeah ccr is awesome, finally someone who likes older music. im ostracized in social circles for my liking of these bands. i especially like the following songs (from the gratest hits volume 1) of creedence clearwater revival for those ignorant to the full name: who'll stop the rain have you ever seen the rain fortunate son up around the bend those are my favourites but the whole volume album is great, so go buy it. also, another great band: the who tommy is an awesome album, i can listen to the whole thing but the best songs: acid queen cousin kevin fiddle-a-bout overture pinball wizard rolling stones are good too, but i can't find my cd, i think my dad has it... |

simon and garfunkle are awesome. they sound the best on a record player though, same with don mcclean. i like all those songs, but i don't know if you put the boxer, scarborough fair. don mcclean: american pie vincent castles or something like that |
