Google Code Jam is coming up soon. The qualification round is next weekend over a 27h period. The first round of the contest is Fri, April 25, 6:00pm ? 8:30pm EST. If you like the CCC or DWITE, you ought to check it out. Note that Turing isn't one of the available languages, but you should be able to learn Python by then. ;] https://code.google.com/codejam/schedule.html |

https://code.google.com/codejam/faq.html#tools Quote: You can use pretty much any programming language or languages you like, with the proviso that the compiler or interpreter for the language you used is freely available. Turing is freely available via compsci.ca or one can go with the https://github.com/Open-Turing-Project/OpenTuring fork. Though time constraints, especially on the large datasets, will make Turing a challenge to use. |

Just do it. There are four questions and the first two are quite easy. The worst case is that you invest a couple of hours and don't get anywhere, and even then you can be part of the discussion afterwards. |
