i do not understand how to put an avatar beside my username. what if there is more then one pic on the page I type the URl of? how do I choose which one I want? |

Err.. first off you got to your profile Then where it says Link to off-site Avatar: Enter the URL of the location containing the Avatar image you wish to link to. (scroll down) put your URL to your image there (in the textbox beside it) |

I did that but it didn't show up. What if there is more then one pic on the page of the URL I want the pic to come from. Does it need to be a page with jsut a pick??? I know I sound like an idiot but i am having trouble figuring this out. |

you do sound like an idiot let me clarify. URL of the IMAGE. Meaning a direct link to the file that ends in .gif or .jpg |

I tried what u said (linked directly to my hardrive) but it doesn't work. do I need to put the pic on a web page first? (Worlds biggest idiot) |

actually, if you right click it and look at properties, its an upload... and when you copy that into adress bar "you are not authorized to view or download this upload" lol ;p heres link http://www.compsci.ca/v2/download.php?id=1046 |

Dan used to have his old picture from SWAT as his avatar. As did Tony. I suppose when they upgraded themselves their avatars fled in fear |

A little tip. When u see a picture on a web site, right click on it then hit properties, where is sez url just copy and paste it to the box. This is for future ppl wondering. |
