actually ignore this topic, wasn't as bad as i thought dl'ing the sources. open all the tabs, ctrl s, enter, ctrl w, repeat.
then just somehow look thru those html files

well... i've been looking up used cars recently, and was going on autotrader.ca. i was looking at the massive amounts of entries on there and was picking out the listings i'm interested for each of the car models i'm interested, and soon enough i have ten tabs opened for each model, and entering all the information into excel seems like a daunting task... is there ANY way to download all the info for a specific query? i.e. model-honda, year-2000-2011, price... etc? i'm thinking of writing up a program which will rank the listings so i'll know which ones to call first. i.e. calculate the cost in dollars per km under 200k... or something like that. then again... i can always open each page and view source and save those files and go from there... |
