So we're ditching Ontario and moving to Alberta, so I will 100% most likely be going to University of Alberta. I am 100% sure I want to go into computer science and I obviously meet the requirements needed to apply for the program. But what I am concerned about is, that I thought Waterloo University is like the best university for math and engineering. My concern is that will graduating from the university of alberta affect my chances of getting a job as a programmer? Oh, and is computing science the same as computer science? Because waterloo university has both, but computing science is listed under science, I thought I was going into the one under the math category. So please help me out, I'm really confused. Very Happy

People say Waterloo is good but that's partly because it has coop. Most companies would want people with experience but I think it doesn't really matter if you go to U of Alberta

Edit: not sure about the computing science vs computer science thing...you just have to wait for one of the CS people to show up Very Happy

Computing Science does not exist (at least to my knowledge), you probably mean Science Computing which is mostly focused on Science and how to compute chemistry, and physics (etc...) related problems.

Nope, they meant Computing Science. For some reason lots of universities list it as that.
As far as I can tell, the terms are interchangeable.
