Post subject: | a question of electronics |
i assumed that most people who know a thing or two about computers possibly know a thing or two about electronics so it seemed appropriate to post here. this is a question of equivalent resistance and kirchoffs rule. All resistors in the circuit have the same resistance R. what is the equivalent resistance between point A and B. the two images that i've attached are one and the same one is the 2D projection of the other. ![]() ![]() |

Obligatory: ![]() Now, it's been too long since ECE101 days... You could build that circuit in a lab and read the answer with a multimeter... but that doesn't give you much points for the solution steps. If you run some current into A and out of B, you can apply KCL. Similarly if you throw a battery into the circuit, you can apply KVL. Once you have a bunch of related formulas, throw them into Prolog and wait for it to crunch through the equations |
