I don't see whats so socking, the swastika was a common symbol and pattern before it was used by the Nazi party. For examples: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika With that side, Doom is not meant for kids by any means and swastikas would not be that unfiting of the plot (hell on mars). Also as USEC_OFFICER mentioned, it could also be a homage to Wolfenstein 3D or just a random pattern to make things look more "bad ass". P.S. If you find that offensive i don't recommend you play any of the Wolfenstein games, robot hitler and all.... |

If you look closely, you'll notice that the layout is also the flip of the swastika used by the Nazi party - the same orientation as the original Hindu symbol (follow Dan's link). |

Also if you look closely, you'll notice that Doom is a pretty old game and if you stumble across something in it, chances are it has been seen and talked about a bunch of times before and is no longer relevant at all. |
