I recentaly installed the new ubuntu to try it out, and within the OS running for 5 minuites I get a serious crash warning. System kernel crash. That doesn;t sound too good.

Any clues on what to do?

I would ask the experts.

I would also type it out as Ubuntu 9.10.

Your hardware might not be fully supported. Do you have anything exotic installed?

I also second going to UF.org.

There's a forum for just about anything. For example, dead babies

EDIT: After looking through that forum, I advise you not to click that link.

EDIT AGAIN: In fact, I think I'm just going to remove the link all together...

if anyone wants to know, that link was to a smut-story forum. Word-porn and dead babies.

A good idea is to run Ubuntu 9.10 in VirtualBox if you just wanna try it before installing on a full-fledge system.
