No. You won't get in. Or maybe you will. The point is that asking us really won't help - if you want to know then call UW and talk to someone there. /me hates these threads. |

If we tell you "yes, you'll get in", will you stop trying and coast? If someone on the internet tells you that you will not get in, will you give up? Just do your best. Put extra effort into your English mark. Apply to multiple Universities. |

thanks, i know the point you are trying to make, and i fully understand that. i will try at the best of my abilities. but i just want to get a "general" idea and to see if my marks are in the acceptance/reasonable range. if not, i will work harder, if they are, i will aim for better. i just want to see basically where i stand or what my position is at this point. |

You know what Universities expect; mid-80s for UW. Nobody here is an admissions officer (yet?). Your guess is as good as ours. |

UofT says "mid-high 70s". So maybe ~78% ? Remember that those numbers are the low-end cut-off. Your current mark is still close to this. |

Those numbers are also based off last year's admisions so they prity much are guses by the university based on who got in the year before, there averages and the spaces avaible this year. If there are more students applying or higher averages this year the real admisions averages will be higher then stated and lower for the opsite case. Sadly the averages have more to do with the popularity of the program at the given unversity, avalaible space and how the university thinks having at least X average required will effect there repuation then the "hardness" of a program or who they think will do well in it (tho this might be partly true). Alot of universites have a bare minum mark of 70 (for any student getting in), so it's not too surpsing that some programs would have an admision average in the 70s if the program did not get many applicants the year before. |

You have a good shot. I think you have a very good chance at UofT and a solid chance at Waterloo. I know there are people in waterloo who got in with low 80s, try to keep it in the high 80s and you will have a good chance. |
