Phone choice

I am currently in the position to get a Samsung instinct for $39.95, or an HTC touch for free all while keeping my current amazing rate plan.

I am having a huge problem deciding which phone I should get because a) I love Samsung products but i have to pay 40 bucks and b) HTC touch is a nice phone, and its free, but i've wanted an instinct for a while.

So, i trust y'all and would like just a few suggestions. if anyone has used either of these phones, i'd like to know.

Thank you in advance for your input.

Samsungs drivers have a history of being poor. I would go with the HTC IMHO.

I would suggest you look more carefully into the issue. Drivers are used by phones to facilitate a whole lot of things.

you probably mean firmware.

I've never had a problem with samsung anything.

I'm going against the three votes

-Samsung Instinct is on its way to me.

i have a Samsung phone from about 2.5 years ago and it's still fine, battery is great. thinking about it now, i probably should have chosen the Samsung.

As long as you avoid Motorola you should be safe.

My dad has an Instinct. It's no iPhone (ha not even close) but it's better than the HTC IMO. It's smoother and faster too.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

It is. When I said that, I meant in the sense of general smoothness. The Instinct seemed to struggle a lot more and lag a lot more when doing things like playing a video or even loading webpages whereas the iPhone does this in a smooth fashion with barely any slowdown.

Well, i dont have the option (or the funds) to get an iPhone.

so ill "settle" for the instinct. ha
