i am going to build another model aircraft, but to do so, i need some foam.

the plane i am going to be building is a F22 Raptor, foamie (basically cut out of foam)

materials needed:

foam : EPP, Fan Fold, BluCore
servos : 2-3 Micro servos...got it
motor...got it
transmitter...got it
receiver...have many
pushrods...got it
6 cell LI-po...i have alt. batteries i can use


so, it all comes down to the foam...any one know where i can get some of this stuff between Barrie newmarket, and toronto?

aah ty. i didn't know there was a Markham store...the only two i know of is A&J Hobby and Hobby Hobby (Richmond hill and Barrie) they are both kinda useless.

any others?

oh yea another foam type i could use is depron

I saw their name connected with depron. I figured if they don't carry EPP they will know of a place that does.

Sorry I can't help you anymore though. I'm not into RC and I don't exactly live in the neighbourhood Wink

lol...not quite

it is summer break and i have nothing really to do, also it doesn't take ling to build these
the design i have is simple and looks cool. it would probably take a day to cut out the pieces and fasten in some carbon fiber rods.
the next day would be assembly and adding the electronics.
and then the test flight ^_^ (which would include trimming and playing with the weight to get the CG [center of gravity] right which takes about a day too)


at most this will take me a week.

ps. the assembly is simple...slide the 3 main pieces of foam together and make some tape hinges.
