you can get a program called visualroute that does something a little cooler than that. it displays on a world map where the hops are. |

yeah u could do it with visual route... what i used is called neotrace neat program to trace ip and BTW it does show on world map... i think yer server was somewhere in sanfrancisco... |

either one of them...both are anoying...i tried to trace someones IP, and it went to a totally diffrent country :S (it should tell where the person lives...not the companys location! hehe) |

well u if yer a good hacker... you could hack into the companies database find the account with the user's ip... but i wouldn't do that...I wouldn't try to hack a cable company cuz i'm sure they'll trace me easily... this is what i got when i tried : Quote: NOTICE AND TERMS OF USE: You are not authorized to access or query our WHOIS

well if they are in the U.S. the meuame act says that any one can request info on an ip from an isp. Thats how the RIAA is finding poleop to sue (that and the random mailing of law sutes to poleop ) |
