anybody know if there exists any open source php script or any script really that can run on a server that can download and seed torrents? i heard of it b4 but i cant find anything to do w/ it. i tried looking up the protocol standard online but none give any useful info. ty |

what kind of files are you looking to torrent? if they're just regular files, why not put them up on an ftp server, since it seems you already have a server to run PHP on, its probably easier to use FTP rather than torrents, if you'll be the only one seeding. |

Some clients, such as Transmission come with a Web Interface. It will essentially run it's own web service at a dedicated port, and you can interact with the client through your browser. |

rtorrent with wtorrent frontend would be better, as you wouldn't need to run a gui. |
