i have the correct drivers installed i'm 99999% sure.

perhaps your Turing is not installed properly? I have had this error before

If you just downloaded Turing off this site and left it sitting on your desktop then the path is probably set up incorrectly (gotta love windows eh?)

what are you talking about I dled it off my teacher and installed it. How hard is it to install?

ok if your teacher did it it should be fine, so that's not the problem... honestly I do not know, I'm not the best with computer engineering, just computer programming

Go to your BIOS; make sure the parallel port is in standard mode, not extended, or any other fruity mode. If that doesn't work, make sure it's enabled in your bios. If that doesn't work, plug a printer in and see if you can get the printer to work on the parallel port. If that doesn't work, time for an old computer.

This may sound dumb, but are you sure your computer even has a parallel port? Most desktops still come with one, but laptops rarely come with it anymore.
