| Post subject: | VB Studio 2005 Troubles |
When I go to open Visual Studio 2005 now on my new Laptop (running vista) i get an error and it wants me to download a compatibly patch, and install it. So following the link I download the file and when i go to install it (and yes the patch is meant for vista) i get a weird error saying that the specified program can not be located. Is there a way i can still use Visual studio 2005 to program in VB or do i have to buy a newer version? For all of you wondering why this is a problem, i am currentaly working on a game and it is almost done...annoying eh? |

How about posting the actual error. Is it the patch that can't be located or VS05? |

Pretty sure you can get Visual Studio 2008 Express for free from Microsoft. |

Almost positive the compatibility issues with Vista are gone in Visual Studio 2008... So, yes this should solve your problem. |
