hey guys, I am wondering whether or not, I should take data management in grd 12.

here are the requirements for software engineering at UW

* Advanced Functions
* Calculus and Vectors
* Chemistry
* English (ENG4U)
* Physics

it is not required, but will data management help as math skills in engineering?

Yes, I would take it if I were you, it will probably prove useful for any statistics courses and more likely linear algebra.

I'd take the class anyways. I took it as a summer course, and had a teacher who was more of a math geek than a teacher, so it made it more amusing than usual, I guess.

Either way, it will prepare you for any statistics courses and you'll have some experience with combinatorics and what not.

Yes take it. It may not be in your top 6 but it might help you with other things in high school/uni/life. I didn't do well in the course but thats because I didnt try. This year I worked hard for advanced functions and im getting 93 - class high SmileSmileSmile
