Here's a new website layout for my web design company. Let me know what you guys think about it... what you think it needs... etc. None of the links work except the navigation at the top so im looking for some input on maybe some organization on the Showcase page. |

The side and background are a bit busy, and the content is a bit low - it should be higher so people don't have to scroll... scrolling is very very bad. You also have some problems with text begin behind other elements. Not something you want. Just remember the mantra "Simpler is better" and all will be well ![]() |

This is my only major criticism, really. Other than that, I like it quite a bit. I was impressed also by the fact that I didn't vomit at some generated HTML when I looked at the source - some serious kudos for that. I thought I might be the last person on earth who wrote decently indented HTML that was written to be readable by humans and not just machines, but I guess I was proven wrong here. I tip my hat. I nearly forgot to mention - the top bar with mostly just "rate the site" - is that really deserving of that much space nearly to itself? Personally, I'd rather have my logo, name, or navigation at front and center (figuratively speaking) than that, but it's a minor thing. I'll take "I think so" as a valid argument. ![]() |
