So I found a new site called Good Old Games, at www.gog.com They have games like Fallout I and II for just 6 bucks! No DRM, decent size library. I'm downloading Fallout right now, see how it works. The games are all compatible with XP and Vista. |

I heard about this service through /. It looks like a great library of games to choose from, and you can't complain about the price. |

For old games, you can also try: www.abandonia.com They upload games which are legal to distribute and download so enjoy! |

Fallout 1 & 2 were both fantastic, and I'm not even a gamer. I love immersive games like that, where you can just wander and explore and develop if you like. They also run decently under wine, if I remember correctly. |

There's plenty of great abandonware games that you young whipper-snappers were probably too little to play on their first release. Here's just a few: Monkey Island 1, 2 and 3. Sam & Max Hit the Road King's Quest / Space Quest / Police Quest / Quest for Glory Ah, Adventure Games. Back in the good ol' days. |
