A copy of my e-mail goses to my phone so i guse i check it constaly when my phone has power and is clsoe to me. |

Less than 7 a week for me too, though once i go back to school and I have a Computer course, I usually check it once or twice a day. |

This totally depends on if I am at work or not... at work i would say about 50 times a day. At home i would say about once a day. |

I polled less than 7, but I have two modes. If there is something "hot" on the plate, I'll check mail hourly or minutely. With nothing hot, it may be weeks between checks. Cheers |

I voted 8+ times a day since I don't actually have something that tells me I have new email, but I do check frequently (since it's a constantly open tab). |

Gmail actually pushes content to the client -- the tab's title updates with the number of unread emails. |

I keep the mail client for my job open and check it about once an hour, but I ignore the notifier entirely; don't like the distraction. |

I leave my email client open all day long when I'm at work, and have it set to check once a minute, It makes a noise when I get email so then I'll switch to the program to check it. I also check my email from my phone at least 8 times a day. |

I check like every few seconds.  I leave my multiple email accounts open all the time, and check them constantly. Plus pidgin notifies me of any email in hotmail. 
I'm almost addicted to checking.  Sometimes I'll just let them pile up for days, but I do check often. The most important ones I look at as soon as I get them. |

Google toolbar can warn you of a new e-mail if you set it to. It refreshes every 15-20min?. |
