Hello,

It's been a long, long time since last time I've logged in this forum. I'm glad to be back.
I noticed that majority of sections in this forum is about programming. Well, I like programming, but I also like other parts of computer science too. Is this the right forum to ask for general computer science related questions?

If you're wondering about things like data structures, algorithms, operating systems, real-time systems, databases, or design patterns, then there's probably someone here who knows a lot about them...possibly several someones.

What did you have in mind? You could just go ahead and post your questions (probably under "General Programming" or "General Discussion") and see how it goes.

Programming is the practical language of computer science. Math is how we talk about t on a theoretcal level, but programming languages are how we experiment with those ideas.

Of course this site is going to be largely devoted to programming languages.
