that landscape is made to be used by opengl programs.... sorta like a bumpmap image so u can use it to create humoungus 3d landscapes... i've seen that being done b4
and those 2 maps are made outta nothing... so it's all drawn

you can make the landscape (w/e) in PS, to get the lightning...use..lightning
err there is something in the textures or...patterns to get that rocky effect or w/e |

well that aint how i did it...it's simply a noise cloud that's skeched with dot effect... and it has nothing even close to lighting in it  |

I think that landscape bump map one would end up not really looking like a landscape but more like a bunch of spikes or something ... I would say to try putting a gaussian blur or something else to soften it up if it was to be used as an actual landscape |
