The author mentions that it isn't google affiliated. I'll bet Sergey and Larry send them a job offer. Smile

question: what does the cd command do?

Post subject:  RE:google shell

if it's like any other Unix shell, then cd is chance directory

Post subject:  RE:google shell

oo ok thanks, should have googled it first, my bad

but I dont really see the point of it, well in the context of a webpage?

why change directories?

after actually looking up what the command does on goosh...
code:

help: cd

command aliases  parameters        function
cd            <mode>        change mode

This exists just for convenience. Use <command> without parameters instead.

Under goosh, cd is a convenience command for change mode. Default mode is /web, but you can cd wiki to enter /wiki mode, for example. Or just use the wiki command to enter /wiki mode. To see the other modes, enter help; commands in green are the modes. I'm pretty sure Stephan used cd to let *nix users feel at home. Smile

Oh most likely lol...

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that they have enough money to hire just about anyone with the least bit of talent, if they wanted.
