Hey guys,

I was wondering if it was possible to check your operating system in Turing. I know how to check the username and computer name.

Thanks.

Turing can only run on windows, as a result you can't run Turing in another operating system. Consequently there is no point to checking what operating system is running.

Not quite Wink It can run on a Mac (if you can ever find the executable for it), or, with very little effort on your part, you can run it in most *nix systems as well.

@ Carey, Yes I forgot the obvious there. I don't think there is a way to get the current OS running (However I have been proven wrong before).
@ Clayton, Yes, however I was thinking of without the obvious work on your own part to make it run on a different OS.

I know that Turing can be run on Mac or Linux (I already run it under Wine), but I want to be able to check Windows version so I can make a Turing 4.1.1 installer for my friend. The problem is, that Windows Vista (x64 version) has two Program Files folders (Program Files and Program Files x86). I need to know if it's Vista or other Windows versions so I can have it install properly.
