well homer...the sites work, but u need the compiler they use....i have borland (my skool uses that) so i need to enter different stuff....just opening a window takes like 30 lines of code, lol....but i shouldn't complain opengl will no doubt help me in the end

Post subject:

nehe.gamedev.net has its tutorials ported to borland
at the very bottom there are links for compiler specific tutorial

btw heres another good tut source

that's a nice site catalyst...definitely can use some stuff from there, e.g. particle engine

Author:  krishon [ Wed Aug 20, 2003 11:38 am ]
Post subject:

the particle system on codesampler.com dusn't work for some reason.....neone have ne ideas as to how to make it work? all it says is that GL_EXT_point_parameters extension was not found and then it closes..

Author:  Homer_simpson [ Wed Aug 20, 2003 12:59 pm ]
Post subject:

that's cuz u got a shitty graphic card like me... =Þ
that program needs a nvidia based graphic card to work since it uses some extentions that are only supported with that... but that doesn't mean u can't make a particle engine but the speed wont be as fast as the one using the extention...

ye...that's wut i thought...cuz it said i needed a certain graphics card....i wuz purty sure i didn't have that one, lol
