Almost exactly 4 years ago the last CompSci.ca comic died. Since then the comic site has been left dormant... Until now... Well.... Soon.... So, basically I'm planning on making some comics, starring Hacker Dan and Oni Tony. It will continue 4 years after the last comic. Old Comic Homepage First Comic of the Old Comic Last Comic of the Old Comic that was part of the story. While dan is super busy with projects, he can't bring the comic site to working order. So, until then I'll post comics here. I hope you like it! If you don't, voice your opinion and don't worry, it's still the first one. It will get better. ![]() |

lol we should have a poll to see who wins then a large battle and whoever wins the poll wins the battle plus little cameo apearances of lesser users (meaning like hackers and newb hackers not just mods and admins ) looks sweet, i'll have to read the old comics.. |

Just so everyone knows, the next comic may be done tonight... if not probably by the weekend. I've redone it a few times already. -_-* Most of the regulars in the IRC will end up being in the comic. I get to know them better, so it's easier to fit them into the comic. I've got other stuff to do as well, so I can't make any promises on release dates, probably every 2 weeks who knows maybe more, maybe less. |

oh Mackie, that is so awesome. One suggestion I have is to work on the style of your speech bubbles. They don't actually have to touch the mouth of the character, that just looks weird and seems to get in the way. Greg Dean's http://reallifecomics.com/ was the inspiration for the style of the "first season". I think his speech bubbles work quite well. |

Hmmm, that does look weird, like they are smoking a cigar or something. I like your method better, I'll go change that now! Thanks Tony. |

I like the Comic, and was wondering if there is a way to contribute to it. Is there a sub, usergroup for this? |

I think it's just Mackie. There has to be a duck in it, somewhere. And I at least hope I make a cameo appearance :/ I'm so selfish. |

Post subject: | RE:CompSci Comic: Season II |
there definatly has to be a duck, and the comic group has only me, Mackie, Tony, and Dan in it atm, os only we can see it, not much in there though |

a compsci flash animation would be sweet, hey mackie are you using Adobe illustrator? |
Author: | Mackie [ Wed May 14, 2008 1:48 pm ] |
Post subject: | RE:CompSci Comic: Season II |
Thinking about the animation thing. No, I'm using a open source Inkscape, it's almost the same as Illustrator. |

Mackie, is Inkscape a free downloadable program for use, or do I have to go purchase it? Tired of working with Photoshop, and the trial is only 30 days. Rather have something that lasts and isn't that expensive. |

Here we go! Comic #3, now I can't take all the credit for this one, Tony has helped work out A LOT of the problems with it. You'll notice I have changed the header again, I think I'll stick with this one. Tell me what you like/dislike, still working out the bugs. I am no artist. Specifically how do you like the speech bubbles? I'm no good at them. >.< |

Oh, and what happened to the Typo's by Dan? |
Author: | Mackie [ Fri May 16, 2008 6:20 pm ] |
Post subject: | RE:CompSci Comic: Season II |
Meh, I don't think typo's really add anything so I'm gunna cut them out, it will be easier to read then. |

What the fuck, are you new here? The bubbles should not be connected like that, by the way. The gradient would help if we were observing someone with multiple personality disorder, but that's about it. |
