any help is really appreciated

Well, first off, there's wtd's tutorial on Java. Definitely something you should check out. Also, Java is completely OOP based, so unless you did some of that in Turing, you're pretty much back to square one. The Java Almanac is also a great reference on how to use the various classes in the Java library. Also, good luck on the AP exam!

Hmmm... virtually identical posts in both C++ and Java Help forums. I'd like to give this guy the benefit of the doubt, but it encourages skepticism.

it's more complicated than that guys.
I am learning java for the AP i am writing next year in grade 11, and I am learning C++ since I want to learn more of it.

I have learned a lot of algorithimic programming the past few months I have started programming, but I don't like when people make fun of me saying that I code in a baby language (turing) BooHoo

As long as you aren't learning another language only because people make fun of you.

No, don't worry. I am learning another language not only to gain my self-esteem, but also since most other languages are faster than turing, and I need to learn another language because if I get selected for stage 2, I am pretty much screwed!
