Does anyone know where to download a parallelport driver? and does anyone know how to check which pins are get pins? My teacher mentioned that the get pins vary from computer to computer. |

uh, i just went to google, first thing i found was this and also, for which pin is which... i think you gotta test it out on a breadboard, because theres not "colour coding" for the pins, and its best if you get a tape and label each pin, if i remembered correctly there should be some useless pins.... anyways, have fun ![]() |

Haha, awesomee. Thanks. I was starting to get bored of this assignment too. Do you know if the buffer chip is really nessesary to prevent damage? |

for something simple like an LED, i doubt anything bad would happen, but for example, if you uses motor.... or things like that, i remember those things are dangerous to play around with, you dont wanna bust your motherboard, so on the safe side, just use the chip, because you do not **** up your mother board... ![]() |
