Hello, Just wanted to let my fellow web programmers know that facebook, dell, and joyent are giving away free webhosting, with few strings attached. They give you root access to a server with 10gb storage. (its technically a virtual server, however you have complete control) You get your own IP address, its a pretty sweet deal. Your limited to 1 year for free, then its 45/mo. All you need to register is a facebook API key. http://www.joyent.com/developers/facebook/ You are required to have an active application (people must be using it during a rolling 60day period), but your allowed to use the server for any other projects you may wish to use it for as well. |
