um.. if you cant open more then 1 window you might have it set in beginers mode thereofre limiting you to 1 turing window at a time go to file preferences and uncheck beginners mode i think that was your problem |

If you're using a pirated version of Turing 4.1 (not installed, just copied) then that will happen all the time regardless of if you have beginner mode checked or not. |

Well the reason that schools (should be) buying Turing is for the support that comes with the license. Get your school to get in touch with Holtsoft. Or look up Tom West's home number ![]() |

dunno, sometimes when I go to open the file from the root folder [when turing is already open] I right click and hit open with > turing. That works for me... |

What's the whole point of beginner mode? It's just plain stupid imo. |

Post subject: | RE:Turing wont open more than one window |
The beginner mode hides some of the options, as to not scare off absolute beginners. Turing is not unique to such "modes", certain BitTorrent clients (Azureus comes to mind) have similar functionality (with the exception that the "Advanced mode" opens up more options to tweak). It's a good idea. It's a stupid implementation on Turing's part. |
