Way back when it was called SWAT there was a large splash screen with all the cartoon characters on it.

Tony, Did you ever get around to spamming the high schools of Canada to introduce Compsci? I'm curious because I'm the new ECOO-CS president (Will Sentjen's old position) and when I brought up Compsci.ca at the last ECOO meeting no one had heard of it. Now, ECOO is mainly an elementary group, but it still surprised me. Oh, I think we need a separate thread to talk about Martin's looks: past, present and future. |

Well, the ECOO-CS thing is one of those situations where everyone else takes two steps back and I kinda just stand there, but thanks anyways. I've been thinking about spamming the Ontario schools myself to advertise the ECOO contests ... I wonder if we shouldn't combine our efforts. You know, I could bring up the contest as a way to allow their students the show what they know then add in Compsci.ca as a way to help develop their skills. I don't think there is a need to duplicate the excellent resources at USACO, instead just advertise Compsci as a place where some strong contest writers hang out. |
