Well, this is my final gr. 11 ISU. I'd like you guys to critique it. The scoring hasn't been implemented properly because I got lazy in the end so I just did a straight pool up to 25. The physics was more important to me and I like how it came out. I know its not perfect and although I've already handed it in, I'd like to improve on it anyways. To shoot, the position the mouse in front of the ball and click where you want. The further the mouse, the more powerful the shot. I'd also like to thank zylum for his great tutorial on perfect circular collision. I learned a lot from it! PS. This is made in Ready. I know it sucks to program in ready but thats all my school had. If you guys don't have ready and can't open it, is there anything I can do so you guys can open it? |

This is a cool game. I never imported pictures or sound before, so this can help me in the future... If I uploaded a program like this on a website as an applet do you think the applet would run the sound clips and pictures? |

To be honest I don't know. I don't see why not though. However, what were some good things and bad things about the game? Emphasize the bad things...I want to make it better. |

Alright, to make it better here are 6 suggestions so far: - Fix the part where the screen flashes white when you click. - Change the font displaying the scores and whos turn it is (maybe center that and bigger text or different colour) - Don't quite understand the red arrows above and below each players score, and why the arrows are to the left and not centered - If a player clicks to shoot then clicks before the ball finishes, it shoots again right away after all balls stop - There is a green pixel in the bottom right because that black oval isn't positioned right or something - Make it maybe so you can only click within the green area, because I clicked on the wooden edge and it shot which is a bit weird Other than that so far, that's one freakin' crazy game. You have like perfect physics for collision and movement. |

Thanks a lot. I was aware that it needed some cleaning up. Like I said, I got lazy towards the ends. I'll get that stuff fixed. I also wanted to get the balls to spin, and add a spin feature. |

Didn't get a good look at it (can't play games at work ), but looks pretty good. Perhaps you should make a jar executable, or at least a batch file to run it. |

Yea thats what I wanted to ask...how can I make an executable of my file so its more readily accessible? |

looks really good. good job man. two suggestions though. Get it so that your shooting with pool cues and so that you can control the power of your shot. but overall pretty good |

You have to use a compiler that compiles java programs into machine code instead of byte code. |

Or, just jar it. Read up on the JAR tool, its in the sun java tutorials. |

if you got some kind of pool que in there, and maybe added the option to change what part of the ball you hit to add spin. And also maybe make the holes a bit more accurate because right now if the ball goes near the hole it just dissapears |

Looking back on this I really don't like the fact that I half assed it. It could have been so much better then it was starting from the graphical glitches that I was too lazy to fix... |
