Uhh... not to be mean... but posting a new thread for every single program you write is bad; it might even fall under the title of spam considering that these seems to be polls (pointless polls). Maybe you could only post programs that are actually neat in some way? Thanks  |

I find it ironic that the more "neat" the program is, the less attention they recieve. Take this or this for example and then compare it to some of the other programs. I realize this doesn't hold true in some cases. I try to make "neat" programs that are usually unique but I've noticed the attention they get is very minimal. |

You know, it's a bit of paradox really.. "neat" programs would probably go underappreciated by those just starting out with Turing. On the other hand, those of us capable to appreciate the finer details of programming are likely to not have Turing available as it's not cross-platform (yet  )

neat or not, the first program anyone writes, while certainly a personal accomplishment, is usually not worthy of much attention from people who have more experience. I find that the most interesting things posted here are not written in Turing; and thus are limited to being appreciated by people who know other languages. Unfortunately most of hte compsci.ca users only know (or are learning) Turing, so other more interesting things usually go unnoticed. Oh, and if your going to link to interesting things link to other people's code too; some of us have written fairly complex programs with real-world functionality |

Unless they wish to provide guidance. The best suggestions I can make to most new Turing programmers are pretty much wrapped up in the Turing Style Guidelines. |

interesting sidenote. Often people who post have suggestions or criticisms. So perhaps, ericfourfour, you should be happy that no one is really posting much in response to your programs. |
