Hi there, I just have a question involving the modem of my old computer. I was wondering if anyone here could help. Thanks. Well, I've been using dial up for a long time and never had any problems with my modem. However, recently I reformated my computer and my modem was not automatically installed. Yet I don't have the install discs to go along with my modem. Consequently I can't access the internet with my old computer. I was wondering if anyone could please offer me with some advice on how to fix this problem. Thanks! BTW, I popped open the lid of my computer and my modem is: CONEXANT RS56-PCI R6793-12 B852544 |

People generally don't appreciate when somebody joins a community just to ask for tech support; particularly when that isn't the main purpose of said community. Why not find drivers on your newer computer and transfer them to the old computer with floppy disks or CD-RWs? |

Mazer's right, compsci.ca is not tech support. But consider this a favour: http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=87875 |

Why not invest in say... DSL or Cable? Modems are horribly out-dated. Additionally, if you have no modem how are you posting? |
