The Ubuntu 6.10 - Edgy Eft has been released as Beta Quote: The final stable version will be released in October 2006. Some improvements. Newer, faster startup. GNOME 2.16. A load of new software, and an updated theme. |

I'm excited even just for the updates to gedit. Still, I'm waiting for the official release, and hoping my laptop will be more agreeable with it than with Dapper. |
