i've recently come into possession of killzone, for an impressive $10.
Best thing i've ever gotten for $10 btw.

I've also played Halo one and two.

What do you guys think? Killzone or Halo?

For me Killzone because:
- killzone is 1280x1024 while halo is 640 * 480
- better graphics with only occasional slowdowns
- primary and secondary fire on almost all weapons
- distinct weapon
- campaigns more fun than halo
- Four playable characters have uniques paths through levels results in excellent replayability
- multiplayer is tight
-interesting storyline
-better sound

Did you go to Westwood College, by chance?

Sorry if it seems like I'm just ripping on you, but these are really weak points. Especially the multiplayer one. Anyway, did you only play Halo on an XBox?

Id take Halo on a computer any day, however, i dont have the luxury of being able to go on whenever i want, so XBox is what im stuck with *sigh*

no killzone is not on computer, and toys r us has it for cheap

and actually, i've played halo both on computer and xbox, and i thought playing it on xbox was quite a bit better because the controls were just perfect, whereas killzone's controls are a bit less intuitive.

And for all of you who criticize killzone's online multiplayer... have you guys actually played it?

I'm almost positive that Halo on a PC can go past 640x480. Even on mine.
As for 1280x1024 on a console... I'm no HDTV connoiseur, but are you sure that isn't bullshit?

And I don't think anyone was criticizing Killzone's multiplayer. I just found your comment funny.

Grrr, you got my hopes up for nothing. Just for that, I'm voting for Halo. Btw, I'd have to agree with Mazer on this whole 1280x1024 thing for Killzone. Those dimesions seem a bit farfetched. Are you sure that you weren't refering to Killzone 2? Cuz that would make more sense. I'm pretty sure the only console out there that could support those dimensions is Xbox360.

Also, I like the Halo controls on the PC, mainly because I like to melee alot Twisted Evil . With the XBox controls, you can't turn around while meleeing, whereas on the PC, you only sacrifice the ability to strafe right to melee.

umm there is no such thing as 1280x1024 for the tv.. HD resolutions are either 480i/p 720i/p or 1080i/p

How is that?

I voted for Killzone, since I'm sure it's a more worthy game than Halo.

The key for meleeing is F, while the key for right strafe is D. So when you want to melee, you move your finger from D to F.

No, not because of the reasons he listed. Smile

Ah, well if you don't want to sacrifice moving right, the change the key to 'Q' or something else. You sacrifice one thing for another, but it's you're choice what to sacrifice. This is definately not something to judge a game by...

"Meleeing" as in a melee attack? Why not bind it to a mouse button?

I guess you could, but the mouse buttons are usually taken up by shoot + secondary fire of some sort. Guess that's not a problem if you've got one of those 15 button mice, though. Smile
