c++ on free bsd?

hey guys. i was just wondering if anyone knows that whether freebsd can be used for programing or not. like for example in fedora u can install gcc using yum installer is it the same with unix too?. thanx

GCC is available on FreeBSD.

Honestly, I'd be really surprised if it isn't already there. Have you tried opening a Terminal and typing "which gcc"?

nope sorry bro i havnt even installed it yet. thats y i was wondering if its even on there cause im mainly using linux/unix for programing

Any operating system can be used for programming (within reason...). No major modern operating system except windows ships without either having a compiler; or there being a very easy way to get one.
