This is the thread where everyone should post their Turing created music programs. I ask that these are placed in this thread so as not to bog down the forum with programs that others cannot really learn from. They're just to show off your talent. When someone posts some turing music, feel free to comment on it in this thread as you would normally. Just make sure it's clear who you're responding to. Here is a list of previously made turing music. There are some threads that half-fall into this category: things like beard0's Fixing turing's Music.Play. These sort of posts, in which there is more to it than simple play lines, deserve their own thread, since there is something to learn from them. Perhaps there should be a stickied thread for graphical programs too. I have some interesting stuff I would like to post without being gang-stabbed by forum members/moderators, and they aren't effortless 5 line programs either. And to make this post relevant to the thread... What is this song, and who is it by?

this music could have been accomplished much easier and in less lines with the Music.Play command try using that next time |

Oh i know, but thats not as fun, plus bored_hacker's template, gives that beepy sound, and its much more versatile, if you looked at it. You can do dotted notes, triplets etc. You even have more flexible rests using delay, and putting note value for rest inside. |

And what version of Turing would that be? If yours doesn't support the play procedure in the Music module, then it will almost certainly have the play procedure outside of any module (ie. play()).

Only, the problem is that Turing's music capabilities are limited to piano sounds, with awkward pauses / breaks, and no dotted notes, ties, timings, etc etc. While it's pretty fun for a while, it's better to just use some .midi creation software. |

Glad to see someone posted again! I like this thread, it just doesn't seem like people are motivated enough to make music in Turing. Maybe because it takes a while I suppose. Anywho here's the FFIII battle theme and victory fanfare:
I never really realize just how many notes are in such a short song unless I do this...always amazes me. That being said, if I find more time to waste I'll try to make the FFV battle theme. But first I have to learn how to play it, so it may be a while before I get motivated enough to do either of those things. ~Wolf_Destiny |
