pirates are to slow to hit a ninja with a pistol, by the time their done scratching their ass with it, their head would be gone
on another side, i do like pirates as well, usually bucaneers more lol not much difference

No, I'm quite certain that ninjas existed, just not in the same way Kishimoto depicts them. Certainly they didn't have magic powers, and the shuriken were mostly useless, they still did some pretty neat stuff.

What we need to do to resolve this is find an actual pirate and an actual ninja and make them fight. I wanna be a pirate when I grow up. I will rob people along the 400 series highways and I will drive a Gremlin. 8)

Well, not just assassins. They served other purposes such as spying and sabotage. Really, them ninja were multi-purpose sons of bitches!

Being trained for something does not necessarily mean one is good at that particular task.
Example: Greek hopolites were excellent defensive soldiers. They trained for such a task. But a crazed teenager with an AK-47 could still wipe them all out.
That's the kind of thing we've got here. Ninjas are great at what they do, but they cannot compete with pirates who have cannon & pistols.

I dout the ninja would use the gun alot they don't need it.
Also, even some crazy teenager with an AK-47 wouldn't be able to kill the ninja easily, they are fast and hard to find

Oh, well if the ninjas get "uber godlike speed", I'm going to give the pirates uber anteater-like breath, and it will nausiate the ninjas no matter what. And the zone of nausiation is infinate in radius. And it works infinately fast too. And actually, it doesn't just nausiate them, it kills them. Yeah, that would be better.

You can't just say a ninja has uber godlike speed. That's ridiculous.
