I remember having a discussion with some guys, and we came to a conclusion that turing's syntax is too simple.

yes, its easy to learn, but we had problems readjusting to new languages (such as C++) because syntax structure was soo much different.

I'm not saying that its such as bad thing... I'm just saying that turing is good for basic consepts, but should not be used for more then 1 semester in schools.

They should just use one language at school and stick to it.
whether is be turing or c++

better be pro at one then a jack of all trades

well not turing... I mean there're are limits. Catalyst is in grade 10 computers and is kicking @$$.

The program should be:

grade 10: turing
grade 11 and 12 : C++

lots of kids dont get for loops as they are, you begin confusing them with C++ syntax, they gonna drop out first week. But no point in sticking to turing for more then a year.

In C++, you should quickly review syntax for stuff already learned, and move on.

gr.9: turing + HTML (easiest lang to learn)
gr.10: turing + VB
gr.11+12: c++
thus resulting in a new breed of super programmers

and for the record...i have the whole Adobe package (ps, premeir, after effects, etc.) and didnt pay shit for it...eat that TOM WEST...im pretty sure its worth about 10 grand tho...along with Swift 3D ...im prety sure im scamming alot of money

our school does

grade 10: turing
grade 11: c++ (which i'm learnin rite now)
grade 12: java

seems purty good, plus ours is a none semestered school (we have the same class every other day) so it helps. Much easier to learn over a longer period of time.

html isn't a programming language, why would learn that in compsci?

its a language alright, but it isn't programming. well i think u'd learn it cuz at our school, the first year of compsci is like programming and application, which includes making web pages, so we'd learn html

Kinda pointless... since building a webpage has nothing to do with programming application. Writing a working software is application Confused

Besides, with things like Front Page, Adobe GoLive and even GeoCities Pagebuilder, webpages design is simplified to drag and drop.
