| How can we be so sure that if time travel was possible, we'd go back in time to advance our race? You are for example, the product of one out of millions of sperm...pretty lucky to be alive, at those odds. But then again, you being alive is inevitable. What if our future relatives realized that, and that by going back in time, just their existance would mean a different sperm reached the egg for each person, and that just by going back they would entirely change the future. Different people means different ideas, and a different future. Chaos theory does seem very probable.
