Alright, for those who this escaped, let me explain my logic. First of all, I recommend reading the article over just looking at the picture. The guy was complaining that, at his orgy, everyone had different porn preferences, so that if he let everyone have a room with their preference, there would only be one or two people per room, MUCH like it would be if there were school forums.

mebbe what you do is set a price for a forum, and the idea is you get a group of people from that one school to chip in bits and purchase it. then only they and the mods have access to that board

or mebbe those people and the mods can post, but the rest of the people can only view and download

this is sorta neat but screws over newcomers after the board's been bought.

I think you people still miss the point of the whole idea. Its not here to divide us, but to bring in other communities into ours.

A school that is interested, might use our tools to make their own forum within ours, brining in people from that school... Members that are more interested then in just reading school related posts will move on to visit forums of the outter (existing) community. 8)

I hope this explains things better

hey. krishon is right.. just STOp...

but, yeah . Tony is right.. like none of the people from ucc knew about compsci.. when we got you first projects in Turing.. i gues a lot of people signed up.. so if their were school forums it would sort of swing around.. everyone would know.. it would bring in a lot more people/..

I agree wholeheartedly. I go to a relatively smaller school and as far as I know noone from my school goes here. If we make a board however our schools comp teacher can spread the word and bring in ppl if they want help. I also think that it should be languages in general cuz we have diff languages at our school .

I think that the school form idea is a good idea because then people could talk about specific assinments that a teacher assins Very Happy
