what's so good about firefox that makes it better than IE?? i downloaded firefox and all i could get is page not supported because i am using firefox instead of IE?? |

there are sooo many benifets for firefox.. ie is just imply a pain.. but some fooish web developers design their site for ie only.. what do u expect? |

the number of webpages that are not compatible are few... well at least ive only ran into a few...
but for the benefits... its all worth it..
built it pop up stoper.... extension... <like gmail alert, adblock.etc.... skins..... tabs... faster...safer.....bookmark toolbar ..... lookz better...
thats only the tip of the iceberg.... theirs a lot more.. |

i had problems at futureshop.ca or some other similar place when iw as looking at digital cameras, but the main think about firefox for me is that it is very customixable. Also it runs a little faster than IE. |

its very fast. but i guess the only engine faster than gecko would be khtml engine (aka safari, or konqueror) |

i havnt tried it yet.. but its base4d on the mac program.. iCal.. |

Uninstall the old one but do not allow it to delete your FireFox folder. Then, install the new one in the same place where you installed the last version, which is most likely just defaults. And voila, the beauty is, when you run RC1 for the first time, it automatically updates all your plugins/extensions to run appropriately. |

does anyone know if it is possible to install v. 0.93 and 1.0pr at the same time?
i tried installing 1.0 to a different directory but that didnt work, and i wated to go back to what i had before so i uninstalled both and reinstalled 0.93.. |
