Well, if you're like my sister you could have multiple copies of the same song. You could also have a copy of just about every song you know as .wav (before burning to CD) and not delete them. That'll suck up space when you don't have much space to begin with...

LOL man your sister is cool

Does anyone honestly even need that much space? I mean, before buying my 160 GBer, I've been dealing with a single, 40 GB , Hard Drive and haven't had any problems so far. But I guess if you're into that whole "Warez" thing, then yeah I guess. Razz

But honestly, If you're not a cronic downloader (ie: stick to just purchased games, software, ect), then unless you're running an online file-hosting server, you don't really need space that huge.

I went 2 1/2 years without reinstalling Windows, just because I was dilligent in what I downloaded. Wink

Sourceforge, and most webspace providers, have terrabytes of harddrive space.

I'd just download many many many iso's of programs that I don't own, or that are free anyways, and keep a copy of them, so if I ever need the cd I can just burn it

sun servers 2+ terabytes ( 2000 gigs ) thats easy to fill when you have thousands if not millions of customers.

i have 480 gigs

2 x 120 = 240

2 x 80 = 160

1 x 40 = 40

lots of little ones around liek 5s 3s and 7s

each xbox game that i backup , takes up 3 - 7 Gigs , and i have about 70+ games

then i back up DVD'S and they take up 7 gig , then compress nicely to 1.8 Gigs

oh and lets not forget the

15 gigs in the Ipod Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Ive been collecting over the years , through laptops my xbox's and old Pc's just keep gaining space , i guess it depends what your into ,

Or just use daemon tools. Unless you needed it to transfer or install an OS, of course. But otherwise, you might never need a cd again.
