I know for comp sci and soft eng. that reference letters aren't required but if someone wrote me one for Waterloo would I just send it in with the AIF (haven't completed it yet either)?

When I've done it, the one who writes that reference letter mails it out themselves. Though maybe my teachers just didn't trust me enough to see/modify the letter Wink

It's different from program to program, so you should check up on the details from an official source.
