if this is going to be a gaming box then I suggest you get a better graphics card.

it's ok..... Confused
but with little ram, you cant reap the benifits of the rest of your specs.

go for the 2500+ Barton (you save about $30 and it's a better chip and you can overclock it to 2.5ghz - which would make it better than any stock chip on the market right now, I can explain why this is true if someone doesn't get it...)

and get 512mb of RAM instead... even if it means you have to get 2700 instead of 3200

ha, I got PC133! beat that JSBN Twisted Evil

But ya, people got good points there. You can never have enough RAM. Even my low end machine has more then that.

prolly the monitor cost as much as the system, lol.

the reason i went for the TBRED instead of the barton is cus it was only $10 more but alot faster (Barton 2500+ = 1.83GHz, TBRED 2600+ = 2.13GHz)

and im not too worried about the monitor since ive got a 17" already and thats enuf for me rite now but i will take into consideration the RAM upgrade

btw one question, if i wer to use a fan that was made for a P4 on this AMD system would it make that much of a difference in cooling or no?
Andy

no the fan's good enough, but what you should consider is to overclock your 2600, its very overclockable, ppl have got it running at 3 gig with no prob and only one more fan, but water cooling is very good too or you can get liquid nitrogen

doesn't liquid nitrogen burn?
