I don't know if anyone else here has ever done much pascal programming, but free pascal is one of the best, if not the best compilers I have ever used. If your looking to just learn the language, go free pascal; it's not lots of cool libraries already written to do all the nitty gritty. If you're more into the lower level nitty gritty, it's great for that too!

Now that version 2 is out I might just have to go back to pascal for a while... If it finally implements a proper class system then I'm set! :D
