azureus 2.3.0.0

-----------------------------------

...I'm having more problems with my computer. I'm starting to wonder if they're related. Anyways.. I updated to 2.3.0.0 and now it spontaneously quits about 30-60 seconds after opening.

i checked in add/remove programs and it has an entry called "J2SE Runtime envoirnment 5.0" which seems to be the most recent version according to java.sun.com... but the azureus page talks about "Java JRE Torrents [1.5.0_03]"

they seem similar to me... but not quite the same. Which of these should i be using?

Running it on Windows no problems at all... Except what on earth is that new feature 'swam' or w/e?

Anyhow, don't you get an error saying "azureus has shutdown incorrectly" or something like that? (and some error logs is made.. im not sure i really don't pay attention to it..)

i understand that it uses a "distributed database" to allow transfers to continue after the tracker goes down or the torrent is removed or something like that

i've gotten error messages before... but not this time. it just up and dissapears.

grr... after a fresh jre install and a fresh azureus install.... still the same problem.

i can't even think of anything else to try

EDIT: i guess i could go back to v2.2.0.0 or whatever it was, but i would like to get 2.3.0.0 working... could it be one of the new features that I haven't set right?

edit again: i found a debug program on the azureus site. this is the result, but what does it mean?
